E.C. Cottle, Inc. is a full-service, family owned and operated lumberyard serving homeowners and building professionals on Martha’s Vineyard. With two locations in West Tisbury and Edgartown, and a special order receiving center at the Martha’s Vineyard Airport Business Park, we offer a wide selection of building and masonry materials and hardware supplies. Whether you’re a contractor, architect, or a DIY homeowner, we’re here to help you realize your next project.
Since 1965 we’ve maintained a friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff that is committed to delivering the highest quality materials and customer service. We offer everything from doors and windows, kitchen and bath, cabinetry, paint, hardware, building materials, hand and power tools, electrical, plumbing, masonry, basic lawn and garden supplies, and of course lumber!
We have access to the best building products available in the building industry, including products from Andersen, Brockway-Smith, Bertch, Northeast Masonry, Bosch Tool, and much more.

OUR STORY
A family affair
Edmund Charles Cottle Sr. came from humble beginnings and started a lumberyard as a way to provide for his family. Thanks to the support of many Islanders, E.C. Cottle Inc. was officially incorporated in 1965 and now employs over 40 people across three different locations. Today we continue to run Cottle’s with the same entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to family that our father and grandfather was known for.
